Attic TV Animated Graphic
After working on The Tempest with Ryan Butterworth, one of his students, Calvin Kern had contacted me regarding the development of an introduction animated sequence for his television series, Attic TV, being produced for one of his assignments for his course. We began by having a meeting, roughly planning out his ideas and generating branding through typography, colours and creating a logo.
Development of the logo
The development of the logo began with sketching out rough ideas, based off the typical triangle formation of a roof with the series title embeded in the design, which would later be developed into a metallic typeface.
Approach to Production
After the logo was designed, we followed up with another meeting confirming the plans of production and marking any points of the soundtrack to pace the motion graphics around. I began by animating the logo after creating it inside of Photoshop and importing it into After Effects as a Photoshop file to have the ability to control each layer and have access to the 3D features of the logo.
Once the logo was designed and animated, I acquired light leak footage and applied an adjustment layer to create the motion background used behind the text and logo. Following this, I developed upon the motion keyframes and applied 3D lighting to the logo and surroundings.
