Making a community more visible with a new user-focused and functional website.

Requirements

Somerford Youth & Community Centre needed a refreshed website that better represented the breadth of activities, services and opportunities available for local residents. Their existing online presence lacked consistency and clarity, with limited accessibility and an out-of-date visual style. The new site needed to reflect their brand identity, allow staff to update content independently, and prioritise ease of use for families, young people and local partners.

Outcome

The following deliverables were provided as part of the project:

• Design and development of a fully responsive WordPress website, tailored to Somerford’s community-focused tone and inclusive branding.
• Use of existing brand assets, colour palette and typography to create a consistent, welcoming experience across devices.
• Modular page templates and flexible content blocks to allow non-technical staff to easily manage and update events, activities, and notices.
• Integrated forms for contacting the centre and registering for activities or services.
• Content structure aligned to user needs — including clear signposting for youth services, community events, volunteering, and space hire.
• Onboarding and training for key staff to manage site content confidently and keep the site up to date over time.
